This Standard single-strand roller chain, standardized by ASME, is an assembly of alternating pin links and roller links. The distance between pin centers is called the pitch. The pitch is what categorizes the size of the chain. The larger the pitch, the higher the load rating. Chains with small pitches carry smaller loads, operate more quietly, and at higher speeds. A roller chain & sprocket strand can be shortened by removing links and lengthened by adding whole or a half links (offset links).5TB160 Pulley uses a Q2 series bushing, is directly interchangeable with other manufacturers, is 16.35″ in diameter, and is manufactured in accordance with ARPM Standard for safe operation. With B-series TB pulleys you can use A, 4L, B, 5L, AX, BX, AA, and BB belts. What separates this 5 groove 5TB160 pulley from the others is that it is made using a high grade-35 cast iron, is phosphate coated, painted, and balanced at the factory. Using the grade 35 cast iron offers a higher10sile strength and is more wear resistant than the more commonly used grade 25. While the phosphate coated and then painted finish adds corrosion resistance to the 5TB160 pulley. Then, because this pulley is dynamically balanced it runs smoother which gives bearings and other comp1nts of the equipment a longer working life.
